Work Out - J.Cole
J. Cole - Work Out by Hypetrak
J.Cole's newest single does not disappoint. The brilliant use of Kanye's “New Workout Plan" has got me even more excited for his debut album that's slated for release summer.

Mama’s Boyfriend - Kanye West
Kanye West Mama's Boyfriend by skelton
More than a year later after Kanye's acapella performance at Facebook HQ, a produced version Mama's Boyfriend has hit the internet. It was rumored that this track was supposed to be a part of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but now that I hear the actual song, I understand why it was omitted. It is a revert back to original Kanye sounds, if you don't know what I mean, pop in Late Registration after listening to this.
*update* no wonder this record didn't sound like it fit into My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Universal Records
“The version of the Kanye West recording “Mama’s Boy” that arrived on blog sites earlier this week is entirely bogus and unsanctioned, and violates the artist’s creative intentions. As is often the unfortunate case, an unknown party or parties got a hold of Kanye West’s vocal track and added their own soundbed to it, effectively and falsely releasing it as a Kanye West track from the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sessions. The result in no way resembles the final song Kanye West intended his fans to hear, and he is deeply disappointed that one of the most personal, meaningful and special songs he has ever written would reach people in this way. Needless to say, measures are being taken to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for leaking this material.”

Castle Walls - T.I. Ft. Christina Aguilera

Picked up T.I.'s new album No Mercy today and I have to say I am pretty impressed. The sound is definitely toned down and more reflective compared to his previous albums. I guess some time behind bars changes a man...or does it? The album features tons of collabs from artists like Drake, Pharrell, Kanye, Ricky Rosae' Ross, Eminem but none as impressive as Castle Walls with Christina Aguilera. The lyrics are so on point and Christina's voice is perfect for it, I'm predicting that it hits number one on the charts for 2011. Listen to it for yourself and tell me different.

Jay-Z Interview with Howard Stern

Today Jay-Z stopped by the Howard Stern studio to do an exclusive hour long interview. If you are a fan of him, a fan of music, a fan of anything, you NEED to find an hour to listen to this interview. Stern asked questions all over the map from his relationship with Oprah, to his feelings about his father leaving him at a young age, to his days as a teenage crack dealer, to his thoughts on to how his art relates to everyone, and much more. Not only does Jay answer every single one of his questions, but all of his answers are completely sincere and honest. I always find radio interviews to be the most interesting for the reason that they are unedited and truthful. Enjoy.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West
Not much to say here either than the day has finally come, get Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy early here. This is the hard to find dirty version, but it is missing the 5 iTunes bonus tracks, gonna have to wait a little bit of longer for that. Not to spoil it for anyone, but "Blame Game" is instantly one of my favourite songs of ALLL TIMEEE (Kanye Voice).

Also added the video of Kanye's interview with Matt Lauer on the Today Show from a couple days back. Completely agree with Kanye that they played those old clips to try and get a particular reaction out of him. Lauer's comments that they do this to everyone guest they interview are true, but again remember that there are motives behind doing that for show producers. Kanye was just brave enough to point out this "production effect" during his interview.

Keenan Cahill featuring 50 Cent - Down on Me

If you guys have never seen Keenan's hilarious lip-syncing rap videos, then you have to watch this one. This 15 year old, John C. Riley look-alike has been tearin up YouTube for a while now with his performances, and 50 Cent thought it would be a good idea to do a collab. YouTube does it again and creates another star, even if it is only for 15 minutes, it's still pretty amazing that he got an international artist to come chill with him in his room.

Decoded - Jay-Z
The next couple months are busy ones for Jay-Z as he works on his follow up to The Blueprint 3, a special project with Kanye West entitled Watch the Throne and none less important than his autobiography that interprets lyrics to 36 of his songs but also covers important events that got him to where he is today. Jay-Z's Decoded hits shelves November 16th.
Here is an excerpt that the New York Post recently published:
Almost Famous
Even though he was still dealing drugs, whenever Jay-Z came back to New York he met with his friend Jaz, another rhymer, and the two would lock themselves in a room “with a pen, a pad, and some Apple Jacks and Haagen Dazs.” Jaz got a record deal with EMI in 1989, and Jay-Z took note when the record company dropped his friend after his single flopped. “I thought to myself, ‘This business sucks.’ No honor, no integrity; it was disgusting. In some ways it was worse than the streets.” Jay-Z learned from that experience and started his own label, Roc-a-fella, in 1994, with Damon Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke.

Runaway - Kanye West
Kanye West's "Runaway" is a story about an arrival of a Phoenix, played by Victoria Secret's model Selita Ebanks, who crash lands on Earth and is then rescued by Kanye’s character Griffin, and tries to adapt to human society. Watch the interviews after to hear Kanye respond to several #askKanye Twitter questions about the film and the last year of his life. His description of the Michael Jackson scene (14:10 part 1) is 100% true about the world today.

Don’t Stop! - Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco & Pharrell Williams (Child Rebel Soldier)
Kanye West x Lupe Fiasco x Pharrell – Don’t Stop (Child Rebel Soldier) by FALSE Sounds
This week Pharrell and Lupe have teamed up with Kanye to create this brilliant track entitled "Don't Stop". The three teamed up not to long ago for the single "Us Placers" in anticipation of producing a full length album, but unfortunately that got put on stall. Maybe this is a sign of progress to come...
