J.Crew x New Balance 1400 Suede Pack
Recently J.Crew partnered up with another US staple, New Balance to create these two 1400s finished in blue/green brushed suede. Watch the video below to hear about how J.Crew’s Head of Design, Frank Muytjens fell in love with the profile and design of the 1400 model following a trip to Tokyo. Funny how he didn't discover his feelings for this American shoe until he left the states. You can get these now for $130 USD.

The Subway in Pictures
Found this amazing slide show on the New York Times website today that chronicles the history of the Subway from its inception. Here are a few of my favorite shots, go here to see the entire gallery.
1930s - The view north on Sixth Avenue, when the roadway was hidden by elevated tracks
1932 - A new floor-ceiling turnstile is introduced on the Eighth Avenue line. It's crazy how these turnstiles are still intact today more than 80 years later.
1958 - A suitcase served as a card table during a ride on the Rockaway Special. I love the shirts on those two boys.
1967 - A father and son heading to the racetrack via the Aqueduct Special
1969 - Children riding on the Lexington Avenue Express. My favorite picture of the set, the boy's suit and bow tie outfit is on point.
1979 - Graffiti begins to take over Subway cars
1980 - A nun navigates through a flooded station
1981 - Graffiti transformation is complete
1983 - New Japanese built subway cars with a graffiti resistant finish are loaded onto the rails
1986 - A car going through the wash

Runaway - Kanye West
Kanye West's "Runaway" is a story about an arrival of a Phoenix, played by Victoria Secret's model Selita Ebanks, who crash lands on Earth and is then rescued by Kanye’s character Griffin, and tries to adapt to human society. Watch the interviews after to hear Kanye respond to several #askKanye Twitter questions about the film and the last year of his life. His description of the Michael Jackson scene (14:10 part 1) is 100% true about the world today.

Lebron 8
I've been waiting a long ass time for some high quality pics to write about these shoes, so thank you Nice Kicks for the shots! Not the biggest Bron' Bron' fan after all those shenanigans he pulled this summer, but these are ridiculous! To me, they look a little bit like a re-worked Yeezy without the strap. I know what my gf is getting for her birthday when these drop October 26th.
